In-Person Training Opportunities

School districts and charter schools have a variety of both general and specific training needs. In the past, this need has been filled through paid consultants or local subject matter experts. The Idaho School Safety and Security Program (ISSS) is a free training resource to all public and charter schools in the State of Idaho. ISSS leverages a network of School Safety and Security Analysts and subject matter experts to provide training opportunities in communities with limited resources or accessibility. To find out which Analyst is assigned to your region and schedule a training, click here.

Analysts can develop and deliver specific trainings upon request, and also offer training on the following topics:

  • Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM)
  • Clery Act
  • Communications
  • Emergency Planning, Response and Operations
  • Idaho Standard Command Response for Schools (ISCRS)
  • Incident Command System (ICS) I.M.O.P. Training for Schools
  • Minor Abuse Prevention and Response
